Drive north from Jerusalem, arrivinge at Nazareth, the Galilean childhood home of Jesus to visit the Church of Annunciation, celebrating the announcement by the angel Gabriel to the Virgin Mary that she would conceive and become the mother of Jesus, the Son of God. Visit St Josephs Church, built where the carpentry workshop of Joseph, father of Jesus, used to be. Drive eastwards and ascend Mount Tabor, for a magnificent view of the Jezreel Valley and visit the Church of the Transfiguration, the traditional site of the transfiguration of Jesus. Continue eastwards to the shores of the Sea of GalileeE and visit Tabgha, the site of the “miracle of the loaves and fish”. Pass by the Mount of Beatitudes, where the Sermon on the Mount took place and visit Capernaum, a Jewish fisherman village of 2000 years ago that was the center of Jesus` messianic work. Known as “his town” Jesus spent a substantial part of his life here – healing the sick, preaching in the synagogue and performing miracles. At the end of the day, return to Jerusalem
